Here comes Winter! As we close out the fall semester, we celebrate our many Gateway school and OWL achievements. The wolfpack has been working hard to demonstrate their final learning on mid-year assessments in reading and math, final projects and activities and of course, Christmas performances!
We celebrate our student’s diversity and the way they grow and achieve at different levels. Some are working beyond grade level! Nice! Students are also learning to develop their social skills in a positive and respectful manner. We continue to emphasize the importance for students to communicate effectively with each other, using their social contracts and positive voice to advocate their concerns and disagreements. Nice work wolfpack!
We celebrate our parents, for their contributions towards their child’s learning experience. We all appreciate the ongoing communication and involvement by parents to ensure your students are present and prepared every day. Great job! Also, a big thanks to our wonderful parent volunteers and school community, working with our staff supporting learning in our classrooms. Thank you.
We celebrate the work of the Gateway Outdoor Wilderness Lab (OWL) which continues to transform students from all over the district. OWL served over 521, 6th grade students this fall, 84 High School students, as peer counselors, during weekly sessions and 27 CMU nursing interns to assist our OWL nurses. A special thanks to chef Ted for his wonderful meals during OWL and going the extra mile to make the wolfpack happy and satisfied during our quarterly breakfasts.
A huge “Howl” and “Hoot Hoot” to all our gifted teachers and staff who go the extra mile to make learning, engaging and relative, to all our students each and every day! How fortunate we are to have you at Gateway school and OWL!
Merry Christmas and Happy New year to all in our Gateway Community!
